Mauritania’s El Vadhila majority party has called on Mauritanians and Muslims around the world to boycott Danish products, in protest against the cartoon of Prophet Muhammad, according to a statement released on Wednesday. The party also called on authorities not to grant import authorisations for Danish goods, and urged Mauritanian importers to “stop all current and future commercial transactions” with that country.
