Morocco to host 8th African fencing championship in April

The Moroccan city of Casablanca is to host from 26 to 28 April the eighth edition of the African senior fencing championships, sports sources announced here Wednesday. According to the Moroccan royal fencing Federation, the tournament will feature 18 countries – Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Niger, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, DR Congo, Guinea, Congo, Mauritania, Cote d’Ivoire, Somalia, Namibia, South Africa and host Morocco. On the sidelines of the continental competition, the African Fencing Confederati on will organise a qualifying tournament 25 April for the 2008 Olympic Games.
