The fifth edition of the national week of the African Film in Bamako (SENAFAB) will open here Friday, organisers told Panapress. The week will be used to showcase African movies with a view to encouraging production, exchange and distribution of different types of movies. Several guests from the sub-region, including actress Akissi Delta of the Ivorian TV soap “Ma Famille”, are expected to attend the film festival. A workshop on the theme “The Issue of film and audiovisual production: a sub- regional approach”, will bring together about 50 participants involved in movie production. The organisers said the workshop would help to evolve ways to boost film production and training of personnel in the growing industry.
