
The first African Kung Fu championship was due to kick off in Tripoli, the Libyan capital, Thursday, Panapress reported. The competition, scheduled to end Sunday, brings together the national teams of Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Benin, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa and Nigeria. The African Federation of Kung Fu would hold its general assembly on the sidelines of the competition to review its activities in 2007 and look at its programme in 2008.
