Libya’s national soccer side, The Greens, will play friendly matches against Mali and Burkina Faso, as part of preparations for the joint 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Libyan Football Association (FLF) said the match against Mali would be played 21 April while that against Burkina Faso had been scheduled for 26 May. Libya will face Ghana 31 May in Accra in the qualifiers. Meanwhile, the FLF has announced the postponement to a yet-to-be-determined date of the friendly against the US team, initially scheduled for May. FLF Preident Jemal Jaafari said the postponement was necessitated by the forthcoming qualifying matches and the participation of Al-Ittihad and Al-Akhdhar clubs in African competitions. Panapress.
