The Nigerian government Friday set up an eleven-member committee to investigate the inability of concerned government agencies to locate the missing Wings Aviation aircraft Beechcraft 1900D. According to a national daily here, the committee was also mandated to probe the circumstances that led to the initial false reports that the aircraft had been discovered shortly after it went missing. A statement from the secretary to the committee, Group Captain N.S Kanwai, disclosed the committee was set up at the instance of the Federal Executive Council. The council had during its meeting last week, directed the National Security Adviser, General Sariki Muktar (retired) to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance of the aircraft. Panapress.
