ITN reports indicate that a 77 year old British missionary, Brian Thorp, was beaten to death last Thursday on the Island of Lamu off the Kenyan coast. It is not known if the missionary whose body was found by his housekeeper was murdered by robbers or due to his campaign for AIDS victims. Brother Brian Throp had been working on Lamu Island for about 30 years.
