Berlusconi wins Italian elections by a larger margin than expected

Silvio Berlusconi was elected Prime Minister in Italy yesterday for the third time. The 71 year old billionaire is owner of a media empire as well as European football Champions AC Milan. Berlusconi won the elections as head of the new People of Freedom party (PDL). Italy’s economy, the fourth economy in Europe, has declined recently and the new Prime Minister is well aware of it as he announces “difficult months ahead” according to BBC News.
