According to BBC News, South Korea should lift the import ban on US meat in place since the world wide mad cow disease that occurred four years ago. This deal would be a big step to a free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries. However, tension is high between Congress and the White House on trade issues lately mainly due to a controversial possible FTA with Colombia (Financial Times).
