Zimbabwe’s opposition leader demanded Thabo Mbeki the South African president to step down from his role as mediator in the electoral crisis according to The Guardian. Zimbabwe is going through a political crisis after the government refused to publish the results of the elections held at the end of March. The Zimbabwean president has not yet publicly discussed the elections but may do so in the speech scheduled this afternoon, the anniversary of the country’s independence.
