The Playa de Bakio, a Spanish fishing boat, was captured yesterday afternoon off the coast of Somalia. The pirates are holding 26 fishermen hostage onboard, 13 are Spanish nationals. According to El Pais the captain has declared the crew is well and unharmed. Pirates have been operating in the Indian Ocean over the past few weeks, the last attack took place April 4th and the 30 members of the crew were released a week later.
