The Olympic torch continues its controverted world tour, landing in Kuala Lumpur yesterday morning (Al Jazeera). As has been the case for the last few weeks, protests are expected along the 16,5 kilometer relay the torch will take on Monday morning. According to France 24 about 1,000 police were deployed in the Malaysian capital where authorities warned that any attempt to stop the progress of the torch would lead to an arrest. The torch relay has seen several clashes between pro-Tibet and pro-China groups in its last stops around Asia and Europe.
