Rap star gets an early prison release

The American rapper Foxy Brown was released from jail according to BBC News after 8 months in custody. The artist was serving a one year sentence after having violated her probation getting in a fight last September. During her stay at the prison the singer allegedely had a clash with an other inmate that cost her over two months in isolation. Brown’s last album, Broken Silence was released in 2001 and ranked third in sales, her album Chyna Doll topped US charts in 1999.
