Roger Federer, the top-ranked tennis player from Switzerland obtained his first title this year by beating Nikolay Davydenko in Portugal yesterday. The Russian sportsman was forced to retire due to a leg injury during the final of the Estoril Open. Federer has had a difficult start this season fighting mononucleosis a couple of months ago. He claims to be at top form and is especially preparing the French Open this year, dreaming of obtaining the only Grand Slam title he has not managed to conquer yet (CNN).
