After 20 years at the head of Samsung, Lee Kun-Hee, one of the most powerful businessmen of South Korea announced his resignation on Tuesday (AFP). The chairman has been charged for tax evasion and breach of trust. Investigators found 4.5 billion dollars of his hidden assets in bank and stock accounts. Samsung was founded in 1938 and went from a small trading company to a company that employs over 200,000 people. It also accounted for more than 20% of South Korea’s export last year.
