Mario Uribe, cousin of President Alvaro Uribe was arrested in Bogota earlier today. The man, who stepped down as senator last October, was suspected of paramilitary links according to BBC News. Before being driven away in a jeep, the former senator demanded asylum at the Costa Rica embassy in Bogota where his request was turned down.
