Alavaro Uribe, the Colombian head of state is said to be under investigation according to AFP. The investigation is trying to determine whether the president is linked with paramilitary groups. The president confirmed this Wednesday that the investigation was considering his role in a massacre that occurred in 1997, in which paramilitary killed 15 people. However, he denied having taken any part in it. Yesterday the presidents cousin was arrested on similar charges after seeing his demand of political asylum rejected by the Costa Rica embassy in Bogota.
