Al Jazeera reports that the An Yue Jiang, a Chinese ship containing arms destined to Zimbabwe, has called back by Chinese government according to the Chinese foreign minister. Although the shipment of weapons was considered legal, China and the African countries on the travel chart of the ship were under pressure from several African countries and the United States, not to allow the weapons to reach Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has been going through a political crisis after the presidential elections held in March.
