UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, started a new world campaign against malaria earlier today according to Reuters. The UN’s objectives include providing African countries with malaria treatment and prevention. According to the General-Secretary, the International community has to find a way to make malaria medication available to all of Africa before the end of 2010. The World Health Organization estimates that the disease transmitted by mosquitoes kills about 1,3 million people every year.
