A fire in a mattress factory killed about Fifty five people and seriously injured twelve others including a policeman in the city of Casablanca, in the western part of Morocco, Saturday morning. The fire broke out on the first floor of the factory, according to the Moroccan media, before spreading fast to the fourth floor of the building. The presence of chemical products fueled the flames sweeping rapidly through the factory which had its emergency exits and stairways blocked. An inquiry to determine the cause of this accident has been launched by the Moroccan authorities.
