Food crisis: UN meets in Switzerland

20 United Nations key development agencies are gathered for a two day meeting in Berne to find solutions to the global food crisis according to BBC News.

UN general secretary, Ban Ki-Moon, World Bank president, Robert Zoellick and World Trade Organization boss Pascal Lamy are among those who will try to find quick and effective measures against the constant increase of food prices threatening countries around the globe.

The soaring food prices have mainly affected poor countries, triggering riots and protests in the last few weeks.
