A cruise ship with 1,000 people on board is stranded off the coast of Latvia and will have to be evacuated according to The Press Association. The Mona Lisa is stuck on a sand bank about 10 miles from the Latvian coast. According to local authorities the boat is undamaged and all passengers are safe but the efforts to free the vessel have failed. Passengers still have full use of the liner’s onboard facilities, including access to fresh water, officials said Press Association.
