According to CNN Hezbollah militias have taken control of western Beirut, Friday. Lebanon’s capital has gone through a week of violence that has so far killed eleven people since Wednesday and wounded at least 44 others. Two pro government television channels stopped broadcasting earlier this week when Hezbollah supporters blocked the routes to the city’s airport. The move followed the government’s demand this week that Hezbollah shut its telecommunications operations, which Hezbollah called an act of war (CNN).
