According to AP, Ehud Olmerts political opponents asked him to step down as prime minister earlier today. The prime minister is accused of having received several hundreds of thousands of dollars from a US citizen. During a televised speech on Thursday, Olmert announced that he would resign only if he was indicted, he also claimed that he never took illegal campaign contributions.
