According to Al Jazeera an Iranian embassy convoy was ambushed on Thursday. Armed men attacked the convoy when it approached a bridge that links Kazimiya with the predominantly Sunni area of Azamiya in Baghdad wounding several people including an Iraqi and an Iranian administrative employee. “The suspicious behavior of US forces in security issues has brought increasing insecurity in Iraq,” Mohammad Ali Hosseini, an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, said in a statement, a copy of which was made available to the Associated Press news agency.
