Global specialty retailer Gap has announced it will open stores in Egypt and Jordan by the end of the year. The hugely successful American company said the new stores were part of the company’s international expansion that includes the Middle East and Mexico. Gap Inc. expressed the hope that the Egyptian market will offer new chances to move forward as a leading clothing chain. Already in 2008, H&M opened shop in Cairo’s posh City Stars mega mall.
With the announcement, Gap franchises will now be present in 21 countries around the globe.
