Former South African President, Nelson Mandela received the first Club of Madrid Democratic Leadership Award, Monday. According to the group the former President of South Africa has inspired millions across the globe and is till fighting for equality and an effective democracy. The Club of Madrid is an organisation of 72 former presidents and prime ministers which was established in Madrid, Spain in October 2001.
