The European Union suspends co-operation with Mauritania

The European Union (EU) decided Monday to suspend its co-operation with Mauritania for two years, Wa Bayne said. The EU initiated consultations
with Nouakchott after a coup d’état in August 2008. According to them the representatives of the military junta power have not submitted satisfactory proposals or commitments.
