Ex president of Ghana, John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor was Monday named Global Ambassador against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Mr. Kufuor joins a team of prominent personalities to advocate on behalf of the world’s poorest and hungriest people. According to WFP executive director Josette Sheeran, “Ghana is a leader in nourishing its children and Ambassador Kufuor can be a leader in getting others to follow his good work”. WFP has indicated that about 66 million children go to school hungry each day
