Former French President Jacques Chirac, together with a number of Africa leaders and international dignitaries in Benin, is set to launch an initiative calling for a ban on the sale of counterfeit drugs, which causes ten of thousands of deaths each year, especially in the developing world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), fake drugs account for about 10% of the world’s pharmaceutical market reports RFI.
