Guinea – France: France urges its citizens to leave Guinea

According to France24, French foreign Ministry has urged french nationals to leave Guinea due to the deteriorating security situation following September 28th deadly massacre. A statement on the foreign ministry website said “We strongly advice against travel to Guinea, and French nationals present in the country are advised to leave.” There are believed to be about 2,500 french nationals in Guinea. “There are no signs of improvement in the short term,” the statement added. According to the United nations, more than 150 people were killed during the bloody crackdown in Conakry and 1200 were wounded.
