The speculation over 800m World Champion, Caster Semenya finally comes to an end after the sports ministry announced that the athlete will keep her medal, her world title and prize money regardless of the results of her gender test. The ministry said in a statement that this was the outcome after talks between themselves, the world athletics governing body IAAF and Semenya’s lawyers. “We have also agreed with the IAAF that whatever scientific tests were conducted legally within the IAAF regulations will be treated as a confidential matter between patient and doctor,” the sports ministry was quoted as saying in TimesLive.
